51³Ô¹ÏÍøhas signed a new contract with aviation technology group, Safran. 

The growing partnership is a result of Element’s additional investment in its aerospace laboratories across the world. It currently provides materials testing as well as specialist product testing, supporting Safran’s R&D and production testing needs in Toulouse, France, Berlin, Germany, and other laboratories in Europe, the USA and Asia. 51³Ô¹ÏÍøhas been working with Safran for over 10 years and currently test a variety of technology supporting Safran efforts towards a safer and more sustainable aviation.

51³Ô¹ÏÍøToulouse is a center of excellence located in the area’s European aerospace cluster and is recognized as a world leader in fatigue testing and fracture toughness. With capabilities including high cycle fatigue (HCF) testing and low cycle (LCF) fatigue testing at elevated temperatures, to fracture mechanics, static testing and metallography inspection. The proximity of Element’s services offers customers access to expertise and speed of service to help support product development and R&D. 

The site is accredited to COFRAC ISO 17025 (accreditation number 1-0912), Nadcap for metallic tests and certified by all major aerospace OEMs. 

51³Ô¹ÏÍøBerlin focuses on the technically challenging, complex, and experimental side of the testing spectrum. Capabilities include spin testing, vibration testing, structural strength examinations, fluid and fuel system testing, HCF and LCF testing, computer simulations, test concept definition and rig design. 

The site’s accreditations consist of certification in compliance with AS/EN 9100, International Aerospace Quality Management Systems per customer standards (e.g., Rolls-Royce/SABRe) and other industrial quality guidelines, including ISO 9001:2000.
